All things digital
25 October 2012
We've had a busy couple of months! We've been working on the launch of a brand new programme to provide people across the UK with the opportunity to tell us what they think about all things digital. We're calling this 'Our digital future' and we want you to get involved!
Digital technology has become an important part of most peoples' lives, and we want to help you and your family, our customers, and the whole country enjoy all the benefits that a digital lifestyle brings. But to do this, we need to understand what people really think about life online; the opportunities and the challenges it presents, how it's changing our lives today and what it means for the future.
The media is full of stories about the issues the digital world presents – such as cyberbullying, keeping kids safe online, illegal file sharing and much more. To ensure we're being a responsible Internet Service Provider (ISP) it has become increasingly important to understand what the real issues are and what people really want form their ISP. We at Virgin Media want to take a proactive approach when it comes to finding out what the needs and concerns are for consumers. So we're starting a conversation about 'Our digital future'.
How are we doing this?
1) So far, we've spoken to 2000 members of the public and have released a report on what we've learned.
2) We're touring the UK with the Big Red Box, our interactive photobooth
3) We've just launched a new website to host the online conversation about 'Our digital future'.
4) We got Richard Branson round to have a tea and chat with four families about digital issues.
