We’re committed to creating a sustainable business, inside out, top to bottom. That’s why accountability for delivering our sustainability objectives sits directly within our business divisions – Support, Serve, Growth and Virgin Media Business
Our Corporate Responsibility Committee
Our Corporate Responsibility Committee, which oversees the delivery of our sustainability priorities, is chaired by our CEO. It also comprises the people in charge of each of the functions of our business. Supported by our sustainability team, the Committee meets regularly to review performance and discuss key issues.
Managing issues day-to-day
The day-to-day management of our environmental impacts is driven by our business functions. As an example, our fleet manager is responsible for improving the environmental impact of our company vehicles and our logistics team for ensuring that our electrical waste gets disposed or reused correctly. The role of the sustainability team is to facilitate and communicate progress in becoming a more sustainable business.
Corporate Responsibility at Liberty Global
At Liberty Global, corporate responsibility is governed by a Corporate Responsibility Committee, reporting to Michael Fries, President and CEO of Liberty Global. This committee is chaired by Rick Westerman, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, and meets on a quarterly basis.
The Virgin Media Sustainability team work closely with the Liberty Global central Corporate Responsibility team to align all activity.
